My Favorite Things
I don’t know if I could live without the stuff that I’ve put on this page. I’m compelled to share them with you.
Moleskine – I couldn’t live with out my moleskines. In fact, if you don’t see a post in awhile, it’s because I’ve renounced everything digital and have gone back to the “old ways” of paper and pen. There’s at least one moleskine on my person at all times (two is more likely however).
Levenger’s Circa notebooks – These are little jewels. I actually used huge ones all through college. Made reorganization of notes a cinch. Now I have one that I use for my planner. I love it. You will too.
NaNoWriMo – It’s become a yearly tradition. November wouldn’t be November without National Novel Writing Month. I’m obsessed. I’ve written a good portion of two novels now (2007 & 2008) and I’m already planning my third novel. Expect to have my blog completely overtaken by noveling posts once the middle of October hits until near the end of November. If you hate novels, I’ll be back to normal sometime in early December. I’m currently working on an American Crime series. Oh how I love it. *sigh*
Etsy – There are some seriously fantastic things on Etsy. Most are handmade, but some are vintage. I’m crazy about their treasuries. They have great collections of amazing stuff; everything you could possibly want and more.
Title 9 – Women’s athletic apparel that fits women. Except it’s not really athletic. Except it is! The best thing about Title 9 is that their athletic apparel is so fantastic it can be worn without embarrassment to the gym, at the gym for excellent performance wear, and then out of the gym to meet your best friend for a smoothie and the only thing you have to worry about is whether or not your mascara ran! I love their clothing. The reviews are done by real women and they give real opinions.
Lululemon – Vancouver based company specializing in yoga attire. I fell in love with their stuff before I ever tried it on as I flipped through the pages of my Yoga Journal magazine. There were no stores near me, until finally they launched a cute little shop in Tyson’s Corner!! Now that I’ve actually gotten to wear their clothes, I’m in love all over again. I haven’t put a single thing on that was horrible, or felt bad, or didn’t allow me the movement I needed to contort my body into Parivrtta Trikonasana or Arhda Chandrasana. (Super secret note: Their apparel is also excellent flyball gear. And they make this really cool travel pooch pouch that keeps everything all together for racing and it doesn’t look like a fanny pack!!)
Athleta – I have a thing for performance wear. Can you tell? Athleta is another of those great places that makes decadent clothing that propells you into fitness without a any crying or whining. Buy their clothes and you’ll be begging to go to the gym or take a run around the block… just so you can put on those butter soft pants!
